LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway:

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails.

Living Desert Zoo and Gardens:

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is a nonprofit, accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, ensuring the highest standards of all aspects of animal care, education, conservation, public service, and operations. The Zoo is active in conservation research, habitat protection, breeding programs and education initiatives around the world, as well as in its own community. The Zoo has been a top attraction in the Palm Springs area for nearly 50 years.

Palm Springs Air Museum:

The Palm Springs Air Museum is a living history museum dedicated to educating the public about the role Air Power played in preserving American liberties and way of life. The Museum preserves, exhibits, and flies aircraft from World War Two, Korea, and the Vietnam Wars. Most of the aircraft are in flyable condition.

Many of our docents are veterans and are willing to share their experiences and sacrifices for the education of future generations. In addition to flyable and static aircraft, the Museum uses permanent and temporary exhibits, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources to perpetuate American History.

HORSEBACK RIDING:

Palm Springs Horseback Riding Stables- There are many ways to experience the beauty of Palm Springs and the surrounding desert, but none as timeless and classic as horseback riding. This is the way the Palm Springs area was first seen in December 1823 by Mexican diarist José María Estudillo and Brevet Captain José Romero when they were sent by the newly independent Mexican government to find a route from Sonora to Alta California and were met by the Cahuilla Indians. Saddle up and ride!

WATERPARKS:

Wet ‘n’ Wild Palm Springs is located in the heart of Palm Springs, Wet ‘n’ Wild Palm Springs offers a great way to beat the heat of our warm, Southern California summers. The theme of the water park is inspired by the California surf culture of the 1950’s, with old Woodie cars, surf music, the roar of the water and the smell of tanning lotion. Wet ‘n’ Wild Palm Springs is all about thrills, chills, and making a big splash!

TENNIS:

Palm Springs Tennis Court Directory: Unless you know your Palm Springs history, most people don’t know that it was tennis, not golf, that first put Palm Springs on the map. The Palm Springs Valley is home to some of the best tennis courts and playing weather in America. We’ve included both Public and Semi-Private tennis facilities, many of which are stand-alone, city or resort accessible.
