Lion’s Gate Pines is a private, self-contained condominium complex, ideally located in the center of downtown Winter Park, just one block from Main Street and the free shuttle pick up.

This 25 unit resort features spacious two- and three-bedroom townhouses located in downtown Winter Park. Common area amenities include an outdoor heated swimming pool. Inside, guests can enjoy two hot-tubs, saunas, game room and a coin-operated laundry. World-class downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, and more are available only 2 miles (3 kilometers) away. During the summer, guests can enjoy rafting, fishing, and hiking in and around Gold Medal Waters. The resort is 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Rocky Mountain National Park and an hour’s drive from gambling in the historic mining towns of Blackhawk and Central City.

In the winter, it is difficult to beat the downhill and cross-country skiing in the area. In the warmer months, the mountains provide beautiful backdrops for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. There are also boat rentals for nearby Grand Lake, Lake Granby, and Shadow Mountain Lake, as well as fishing and scenic drives. Grand County has three spectacular museums. Don’t miss the scenic drive along the old railroad to the “Top of the World”. You’ll pass a historic trestle and the abandoned town of Arrow, once a thriving railroad town. There’s terrific fishing in streams, rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Winter Park groomed terrain , steep and deep powder runs and world-class moguls. Rocky Mountain National Park is simply beautiful and Hot Sulphur Springs invites you to soak at a beautiful mineral resort, only 25 minutes west on Hwy 40. For those who enjoy gambling, Blackhawk and Central City are only 70 miles away.

Scenic Drive – Moffat Road / Corona Pass: drive along the old railroad to the “Top of the World”. You’ll pass a historic trestle and the abandoned town of Arrow, once a thriving railroad town. This is a self guided auto tour that takes you on top of the Continental Divide, also one of the highest and most torturous railroad routes ever conceived. Pick up a self guided tour booklet at Cozens Ranch Museum or Winter Park Visitors Center. From Winter Park take US Hwy 40 2 miles south and turn left onto the Moffat Road, the “Over the Hill” route.

Gambling – Blackhawk and Central City are only 70 miles away. Take Hwy 40 to I-70 East towards Denver. Exit Hwy #6, follow signs to Hwy #119, take Hwy #119 to Blackhawk, watch for Central City turn. Transportation available (see Above)
