VRI Vacation Resorts International-MROP Multi Resort Ownership Plan:

MROP is also known as the Multi Resort Ownership Plan, Inc. This is the non-profit timeshare association in which you own. MROP currently has 50 resort locations. MROP owners can choose to vacation at any of their home resort locations based upon the color value owned and availability. Vacation Resorts International (VRI) is the management company that MROP contracts with to handle its day to day operations. VRI makes reservations, handles the on-site operations, pays the bills, collects the maintenance fees and manages customer service for MROP. In addition, VRI operates an internal exchange service, called Trading Places Classic. There is no membership fee for MROP members to belong to Trading Places Classic. VRI also coordinates all external exchanges with RCI & Interval International (II). In the MROP system there are studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units. when you schedule into a resort you are automatically scheduled into the "standard" size unit. The "standard" size unit is the smallest unit at any particular property. For a $25 processing fee (for the whole week) you may upgrade to a larger unit depending on availability. Bedroom sizes vary from resort to resort. For example: At the Villas at Southgate and Fisherman's Village resorts, you will always receive a 2-bedroom unit because that is the only size available at those resorts. In Park City, you will automatically be scheduled into a 1-bedroom with the option to upgrade to either a 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom unit for the $25 processing fee. About 60% of the weeks are 2-bedroom units.
