Resort and Surrounding Area:
Children and adults alike will be in wonder at all the critters and will have a great chance of seeing bald eagles that occasionally fish this area. This section of Lake Taneycomo is called Trophy Run, the resort’s namesake, for its numerous catches of trophy-sized rainbow and brown trout.
A sidewalk takes you over 500 feet along the Lake Taneycomo shoreline, meandering along the shore to the upper pathway, then along a beautiful babbling brook. You can cross a lovely stone bridge and continue to your own secluded picnic area. Two waterfalls are in the brook that eventually falls 10 feet into a stocked fishing pond on either end. The brook is lushly landscaped with native reeds and water plants with many grassy areas perfect for a picnic with family or friends.
There is plenty of parking space for your family vehicles as well as your boat. And speaking of boats, the resort is within 5 minutes of State Park Marina. Reserve your daily slip or watercraft rentals through Trophy Run and save!
Trophy Run is connected to one of the area’s best hiking/biking trails – over 10 miles of beautiful Ozarks wilderness and lakeside Missouri Parks system of trails are right outside your door. There are two trail heads for those systems within 1.5 miles of Trophy Run and one is on Trophy Run Road.
Common around the resort are whitetail deer, wild turkey, northern geese, ducks, cranes, fox, coyotes, groundhogs, squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, and even roadrunners or chaparrals’, as they are sometimes called. There are tens of thousands of public hunting acres within a few miles of Trophy Run, all part of the Mark Twain National Forest. During certain hunting seasons, parts of the trails system adjacent to Trophy Run are closed for whitetail bow hunting.

We are less than 5 minutes from the Showboat Branson Belle and Dewey Short Welcome Center where you’ll find a breathtaking view of Table Rock Dam. Moonshine Beach is the only sand beach on Table Rock Lake, and is a destination in itself. During the summer, passes are available to this pristinely maintained beach and protected swimming area.

Right up the hill from the cabins is Tad Pools Activity Center, featuring what has to be the best view from a swimming pool deck in the State of Missouri! Inside Tad Pools, is a lounge area with fireplace, flat screen TV, fitness center, Foosball, Road Race Arcade, Air Hockey, pool table, and assorted games.
Every cabin has a private deck/patio with a propane grill. Available for check-out, are movies and Nintendo Wii games, as well as fishing equipment, soccer balls, volleyballs, footballs, horseshoes, croquet sets, and passes to Moonshine Beach.
For the fishermen (or women) in the family, there is easy wader access to Lake Taneycomo (when water is not too high) and shore fishing directly from the bank. We also have contracts with award-winning Missouri fishing guides who can pick you up on site and show you the delights in local Ozarks waters. Whether you want to experience the adventure of walleye, trout, or bass; all you have to do is ask one of our recommended experts to “guide” you.
