Breckenridge is the Perfect Mix of Old and New:
This quaint, Victorian town is nestled in a high alpine valley at over 9,600 feet in elevation. Breckenridge is removed from the hustle and bustle of similar resorts located on the highway and is so much more than just a ski resort town. Breckenridge offers visitors a wide assortment of activities, events, history, culture, nightlife and, of course, world-class skiing and riding on six mountains at Breckenridge Ski Resort! Even though Denver is just down the road, Breckenridge feels like a different world.
Breckenridge was founded by three men and one woman seeking gold and silver in 1859. The gold and silver lasted until the turn of the 20th century. Breckenridge truly came to life when the ski resort opened in the early 1960s. The local community has worked hard to preserve and maintain Breckenridge’s unique and colorful history while continuously improving the town and the ski resort to meet the needs of modern day visitors.
Grand Timber Lodge offers a fantastic location being ski-in/ski-out and also just a few blocks to the hustle and bustle of Main Street.
